To stop bad gang activity, I think that organizations should be put in those areas to help get possible future gang members off the street. One of these organizations is the Boys & Girls Club. My dad has been a part of that organization and there is one in Memphis. Another good thing to do would be to get more policemen. As we saw in the video clip, some areas that need them the most don't have enough people or resources. To help those people feel like they belong, society could push for better education programs that deal with teaching kids about social acceptance and the harms of gang life, like ethics! class.

In order to stop harmful activities of gangs would require a lot of effort and money. In order to stop them you would have to send tons of food to poor neighborhoods. Also the volenteers would have to be very frriendly and outgoing. Another thing that could be done would be to dramaticly improve the schools around the poor neighborhoods.

The solution I could think of is getting rid of poverty. Instead of being enemies be friends to everyone around you and everyone you meet.

I think if gang members are shown exactly what harm they cause to innocent people and put it in their faces, they will maybe feel much worse about it and stop. Maybe something like that could be done. An individual could help these people and make them more welcome by hanging out with them as friends or help them fit in better. If people and gangs felt more welcome and saw what damage they were doing, maybe they would stop.

I think to stop harmful gang activities we could get more police and in force harder laws on them. I also think if we could get rid of drugs then most gangs would be fighting for almost no reason. I think society could notice them more and say h and be friendly. I think we could also not act afraid in front of them because that hurts their feelings.
Please do not post.

It is my personal belief that people that get in gangs don't have good role models. They grow up in bad family's and have no choice to go with a gang to find a group of friends. So I propose we send famous athletes to poorer communities so they can have someone to look up to. I believe this would work.

It think the police could go around neighborhoods just to check up on things every now and then so that the gangs don't get bigger. I think people shouldn't raise their kids to be killers and to beat up people. And even though they are from two different places in a city, it doesn't mean that both gangs have to fight each other.

I don't think much can be done but have police in the neighbor hoods at all times to stop violence from happening. People could help them with school or talk to them about things like this. There could be classes for parents to know about gang violence and how to stop there children from getting into things like that.

I think education and more police officers would really help supress gang violence. Education would also help make the would-be gang members feel like they belong by showing we care about your education. Education would also help by giving people better paying jobs and they can help rebuild the communities and show other children that they have other options than joining gangs. Police officers would help stop the gangs that already exist.

You could hang out with people who don't have many friends so that they don't resort to joining a gang. You could make an effort to make sure they feel like the belong to a group and sit with them at lunch.

To stop gang activity, people should make sure that everyone is being treated well and making sure that everyone feels like they belong. Society can help people feel like they belong by not excluding anyone and checking on how well parents are raising their children. Also, if everyone tried to follow the Golden Rule there wouldn't be gangs. This is because everyone wants to be treated well and if we followed the Golden Rule everyone would be treated well and there wouldn't be gangs.

Knowing what I know about gang activity, there is little you can do to stop gang activity. But some ways to stop HARMFUL gang activity are: Increase the amount of police in gang-ridden areas, or advertise activities in these areas. This could lower harmful gang activity. Or you could enforce the law of truency more strongly because many gang members skip school and if they didn't skip school they wouldn't be as inclined to be in a gang.

I think that we could slow down or stop gang activity if we were to get rid of grafitti and if there are any known gang members then we should "take them out." Or we could help them by inviting them to go to a "help" session.
